The must see place in Montevideo. From the small hillock you can see the modern city behind you along the bay. The place for a selfie!
Take a picture and move on! This is just an over-hyped sign, no more, meant for tourist selfies. Worth 5 minutes at most. Why I say the changing sign; the colour changed three times in the 15 days we were in Montevideo; it never seems to be the same. This is one of the must do for a few minutes activities; it also looks amazing at night. Great way to show where you have been. Plenty of locals and tourists around for people watching. No need to spend much time there.
It is the view behind the sign that makes a trip to this part of the Rambla in the southeast of the city worthwhile. Hopefully you will not run into any photographer with a drone trying to sell the desperate overpriced photographs. Lots of folks come here for photos! From it you can get a good view of the city and it beaches and shoreline. Apart from the sign, there is not much else to Located on the south east side of the city next to Rambla, this place offer a great view of the mini skyline and the La Plata River. A great quick stop for a photo opportunity. Recommend riding a scooter up the rambla to get there!!! Walk the whole La Rambla and end here to take a photo.
