The booths look like car garages but contain wooden benches for customers who prefer to have sex outside of their cars. Drivers β who must be alone in their vehicle β enter along a marked route while women wait in shelters along the roadside.
Once a woman has been selected and a price has been agreed, they drive together to one of the booths. The legal areas have lowered the amount of violent attacks on sex workers as well as cut down on illegal trafficking of prostitutes, council officials said.
