We were planning to stay 3 night. But checked out after only one. This hotel also rents out rooms per hour to prostitutes and their clients. Not something you like to be confronted with, traveling with young people. Also very dirty. And if that wasn't enough The place is also an illegal bar where locals drink and make noise till way past midnight.
The owner only wanted to give money back if we would not mention it on Trip Advisor and promised to give a positive review. How's that for blackmail? Bathroom is not at all clean. Fungus everywhere , No towel pole , No tissues, No soap trays. It is terrible. Food is excellent , Service is also not bad. Location is easy reach and the place is always crowded with locals. Not a single foreigner was sited. Room rates are reasonable and the prices of food is also OK.
In the evening locals enjoy drinks , therefore they prepare good bites. Famous among pilgrims and delivery service agents. Positives - Good food , Reasonable pricing , Good location very close to city , Ample parking , Large crowds can accommodate, Can use their kitchen , Allow outside food in the dining room. Negatives - Bathrooms are not clean , No basic essentials in bathroom, Noisy in late evening , Poor maintenance of entire premises.
No shops nearby. Close to Ampara town. Just 3 Kms. Some days hot water pumps not working. Not busy at all. Food is also good. Can asked for local food too.
This hotel is very close to the town. Rooms are in 3 star condition. Very clean and good. You can have a comfortable stay enjoying tasty recipes. Staff is helpful. I think this is the best place to stay in ampara if you are travelling. I have tried other hotels are they not fit for the price.
