We booked and paid online. Arrived after midnight. Compact room. Comfy bed, clean shower. Parking outside. Tea and coffee available on arrival. Check out was at 10am. Just spent a night after arriving on a late night flight. Have stayed here often due to its proximity walking distance to the airport. Nice to see that they have now added a small refrigerator and tea and coffee making facilities to the room. We were pleasantly surprised when we pulled up at this hotel very budget but all you need for a night sleep across the road from woollies and Carl's jr close to the airport the Facilities were fantastic very clean and tidy and staff was friendly there is a restaurant downstairs with a great vibe and reasonable pricing.
We arranged to be picked up to collect a minivan from the hotel which was rather convenient. The airport shuttle bus drops you off directly at the front of the hotel.
This is a mediocre and overpriced hotel - but within walking distance of the Auckland Airport. It's about a 10 minute walk. I have stayed here before and knew what to expect. Location trumps everything else. It appears that the majority of guests are Kiwis who have just landed late at night but do not want to begin driving home until the next morning.
We arrived at Auckland airport at 1am, so I wan'ted something quick and close. The rooms are a step away from being a prison cell. Everything is bolted down, small and cramped. I should have organised the taxi and stayed in the city of Auckland.
Have stayed several times due to walking distance to International terminal. Funky decoration, nice room top floor with airport views. Great staff. Ground floor eating area is a great asset. Countdown supermarket directly opposite.
