This starts with the walls lined with pink plush and ends with an unfathomably big collection of Mother Mary's in figures, photos and paintings - its style is so different from all the other uber-stylish LGBT bars and clubs of Berlin.
However, this concept seems to work, because it brings in people from late at night till the early morning. The Roses has long enjoyed its fame as legengary gay bar but the crowd has changed over the last couple of years. It has lost somewhat the favour of the LGBT community, this shortage however is compensated by tourists from all over the world dropping in with curious eyes.
The later it gets, the more difficult it is to get a drink at the small bar. For many residents of the area the bar Heile Welt is their second living room - plushy, welcoming and always full! The Coven, now well-established in the community, uses the location of the former Sharon Stonewall Bar.
