We stayed in Sosua a couple of years ago and the blatant prostitution with children was very difficult to see. We are considering staying near Bavarro Beach in Punta Cana but do not want the same type of exposure. Will it be a problem in this area? I am out and about on a regular basis. Indeed at times of the day or more obviously I cannot remember the last time I saw anyone who would be underage, plying the trade. Most are well into their 20's and 30's Most do not do drugs It is a case of finances for many.
Slave away 10 to 12 hours a day at a resort for peanuts, or work when they want or need. Like it or not, it is here in Punta Cana , as well as any other city, town, village, campo or batey.
